Volunteers are the life blood of charities and organisations such as ours. We are a not for profit charity and as such we are always screaming out for volunteers to help us out to re-home these wonderful bull terriers. We need volunteers like you for simple tasks such as picking up animals from pounds and airports or completing inspections and checklists for potential homes to more time intensive tasks like caring for abused and injured bull terriers before they move onto their furever homes.

We are also looking for foster carers to look after the bull terriers in our care as we do not have a dedicated pound/shelter. We believe that pounds and shelters are detrimental to the mental health of an animal and also increase the likeliness of animals contracting diseases and other illnesses.

Foster of the week

We are so pleased to introduce 8 yr old Gaven.
Gaven was surrendered by AWLQ after no one came looking for him.
Gaven is a dear sweet soul who loves other dogs and people.
Gav needed some medical treatment but is now healing and is a very clever boy who loves to cuddle and be by your side.
Gaven will be available for adoption soon, if you are looking for a companion, then Gav is your man, he is a very good boy and we know that he would be an incredible addition to any family.

Adoptions of the week, Bonnie and Cookie

We are very proud to announce, beautiful Bonnie has been officially adopted by her wonderful foster carer Kym.

Bonnie came into rescue in December 2019 Heartworm positive, she has been undergoing very uncomfortable and lengthy treatment and Just this month, she tested NEGATIVE, A huge victory for Bonnie and rescue.

Bonnie is a beautiful sweet girl that fit right in with her foster carers and their family, she has one of the most beautiful natures and sweetest hearts that you will find.

Bonnie came to us as a stray and was released into our care from Townseville Pound. Bonnie was a true sweety pie from the very beginning and loves other dogs and playing with her toys.

Seeing this wonderful girl be so well cared for by Kym and her family throughout her treatment gives hope to all that may otherwise not survive.

Congratulations Bonnie, you darling girl deserve your wonderful new life.

Love at first sight for this little angel.

Cookie was surrendered to the pound and it was not long before we had an eager volunteer to collect her.

This gorgeous little girl has been officially adopted by her foster carers, it did not take them long to fall in love and know that they were not giving her up.

She now lives with her AABR adopted brother Spike. 2 true success stories where these amazing dogs mesmerize you with their beauty.

Cookie has an absolutely beautiful nature and loves everyone. and especially her brother Spike

Thank you Damen and Ethan for your compassion and true devotion that you have shown.

Congratulations dear sweet Cookie Moster.

In loving memory.
